Terms of Service

Last updated: October 9, 2026

About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) cover your use of joinafters.club and your membership in Afters, a private social club operated by Afters LLC (“Afters,” “we,” “us”). By applying to or joining Afters, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't apply or join.

Applying and membership

Membership is by application. We read every application and may accept or decline any application at our discretion.

You must be at least 18 to apply. The information you give us should be accurate, and you'll keep it up to date.

Your membership is personal to you. Please don't share your access or invite others into private spaces without going through the application.

Fees

If membership has a fee, we'll show you the price, how often you're billed, and how renewal works before you pay.

All payments are final. We don't offer refunds.

How we treat each other

Afters works because members show up in good faith. As a member, you agree to:

  • Give first, ask freely, and be honest about what's hard.
  • Skip the posturing and the hard sells. No cold pitching or mass outreach to members.
  • Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, discrimination, threats, or hate.
  • Not post anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share.

What's shared in Afters stays in Afters

Members share unfinished work, hard weeks, and things they wouldn't post anywhere else. Don't repeat or publish other members' conversations, personal details, or confidential business information outside Afters without their permission.

We ask every member to respect this, but we can't guarantee that everyone will. Please don't share anything you couldn't afford to have disclosed. These Terms don't create a confidentiality agreement between you and any other member.

Your content

You own what you post. You give us permission to host, display, and share it within Afters as needed to run the community. We won't use your posts outside Afters without asking you.

Advice and introductions

Members share experience and opinions, not professional advice. Nothing in Afters is legal, financial, investment, tax, or medical advice.

Introductions, hires, deals, and investments between members are between those members. Afters isn't a party to them and isn't responsible for how they turn out.

Tools we use

Afters runs on third-party services, such as Slack for the community and Tally for applications. When you use them, their own terms and privacy policies also apply.

Leaving, or being removed

You can leave Afters at any time. We may suspend or remove members who break these Terms or the spirit of the community, at our discretion.

Disclaimers and liability

Afters is provided “as is.” We work hard to make it a good place, but we don't promise it will always be available or meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Afters isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability to you is limited to the membership fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a meaningful change, we'll let members know before it takes effect. Staying a member after that means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
