After all the building, the people are the prize.
A private social club for founders, builders, and creatives.
The club
Afters is a place for founders, builders, and creatives to have real conversations and help each other.
Members share what they're working on, offer intros and advice freely, celebrate wins, and keep each other going.
- Nobody's keeping score.
- Social first, never hustle culture.
The conversations
Where the real conversations are had.
What you're working on
The real version, with the parts that aren't done yet.
The intro you need
Ask once. Someone here knows someone.
The decision you're stuck on
Pricing, hiring, quitting the day job. Talk it through.
The hard week
Said out loud to people who've had one too.
The win
Celebrated by people who know what it took.
The thing you wouldn't post
Not for an audience. For your people.
Who it's for
Three kinds of people. One thing in common: they make things.
Most members are a little of all three.
The Founder
“Is this normal? Asking in Afters.”
The Builder
“I posted the demo in Afters.”
The Creative
“I tried the new draft in Afters first.”
What we believe
What does Afters believe?
The people are the prize.
Companies come and go. The friendships you make along the way are what you keep.
Nobody should build alone.
Hard decisions are easier with people who've made them before.
Belonging isn't a pedigree.
Great founders come from everywhere. What matters is the work and how you treat people.
Give first.
Make the intro. Share the lesson. Show up for someone. It always comes back around.
Real talk, no theater.
No hype, no flexing, no hustle culture. Just honest conversations between people who care.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Afters is a private social club for founders, builders, and creatives.
Here's what we believe: the companies, the products, and the launches all matter, but they're not the best part. The best part is the people you meet while you're building them. After all the building, the people are the prize.
That's what Afters is about. It's a place to find people who are building something real, who understand the highs and the 2am lows, and who'll tell you the truth because they want you to win. You'll share what you're working on, swap intros and lessons, ask for help without it feeling weird, and celebrate each other when things go right.
No posturing, no hard sells. Just good people building good things, together.
You know the after-party, when the main event winds down and the real conversations start? That's the part everyone remembers, and it's always because of who was there. For us, Afters is what comes after the work: the people you build with.
People who are building something real and want great people around them while they do it. You'll probably feel right at home if you're:
- A founder actively building a company
- An operator or builder making real products for real users
- A creative turning your work into a serious business
- A founder a company or two in who wants to pay it forward
- Low-ego, generous, and honest about what's hard
- More interested in a few real friendships than a giant contact list
We don't care where you went to school or who you know. We care what you're building and how you treat people.
TL;DR: Be building something real, and be good to people. No posturing, no hard sells.
Apply at joinafters.club. It only takes a few minutes. If a member sent you our way, tell us who. We love meeting friends of friends.
We read every application personally. If it feels like a fit, we'll set up a quick call. Think coffee chat, not interview. We just want to get to know you and what you're building.
$2 every 2 weeks.
Founders running venture-backed and bootstrapped companies, operators who've built and scaled teams, and creatives running real businesses. A lot of us built our way in from outside the usual pipelines, which is exactly why we care so much about who's in the room.
Everything in Afters is built around one thing: helping you find, and really get to know, great people.
- The community. A private, active space to talk shop, ask for help, and hang out with founders who get it.
- Founder circles. A small group of founders at a similar stage who meet regularly. Over time, these become your people.
- Hot seats. Bring a real problem, like a hire, a pivot, a raise, or a tough co-founder conversation, and get honest, caring advice from people who've been there.
- Firesides. Candid conversations with experienced founders and operators. Real stories, not polished keynotes.
- Warm intros. To customers, hires, advisors, and investors, from people who actually know you.
- Member offers. Everyone brings one or two things they're great at, and everyone can take someone up on one.
- The member library. Tools, vendors, templates, and contacts the community has tried and trusts.
Not in the usual sense. You can absolutely share what you're building, post a job, announce a launch, or ask for an intro. That's what we're here for. What we skip is the cold pitch and working the room. You get to know people over time, and the best opportunities come from that.
We can't wait to meet you.
